Jim
Harris, our company founder, is a seventh generation
resident of Montgomery County and has over 25 years of experience
in tree care. While attaining his degree from the University of Maryland,
Jim saw the need among residents of the Washington Metropolitan area
for preventive care and maintenance of their trees with a personal
touch. Jim serves on the Forest Conservation Board of Montgomery County
to promote conservation of our urban forest resources. He is a Licensed
Tree Expert, Certified Arborist and Licensed Pest Control Operator.
Forest
Bowen is an arborist on our staff who graduated from
Virginia Tech in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest
Resource Management, which gave him a good educational background
for Urban Forestry. He joined our Plant Health Care Department immediately
and then became one of our certified arborists. He has a great love
of the outdoors and is a camping enthusiast. He is a Licensed Tree
Expert and Licensed Pest Control Operator. In 2008 Forest earned the
highest professional certification in arboriculture: Board Certified
Master Arborist. At the time of his earning this certification there
were less than 250 Board Certified Master Arborists in the world.
Riley
Smith has worked in both our tree care and plant health
care departments. In 2005 he advanced to Certified Arborist representative.
Riley is a 2000 graduate of the University of Tennessee Forestry College
with an emphasis in Natural Resource Management. Riley is also a Licensed
Tree Expert, Certified Arborist and Licensed Pest Control Operator.
Sam
Fisher works in both our tree care and plant health care
departments. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1999 with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry. Sam is a Licensed Tree Expert,
Certified Arborist and Licensed Pest Control Operator.
Tree
Crew: Our tree crews are highly skilled and
have years of experience in the tree care industry. Our field
crews attend safety programs and review safety guidelines as
provided by the Tree Care Industry Association.
